Vulcan Materials Company provides infrastructure materials and is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates (crushed stone, sand and gravel) as well as other construction materials such as asphalt and ready mix concrete.
Vulcan Materials was awarded as July’s Business Member of the Month. Vulcan Materials and Liberty High School partnered last quarter on several occasions. Miss Trakas’ class constructed wildlife habitats for both Canadian geese and Carolina Wrens. Graduating LHS senior, Marshall Hendricks presented Vulcan Materials with a new wildlife habitat sign that is displayed just off Highway 93. Vulcan Materials hosted LHS’s self-contained student’s first Field Day. The students toured the facility, fished and enjoyed lunch. Tracy Snapp, Plant Manager presented the students and workers with t-shirts designed specifically for the event. This was an awarding experience for all, as it was the first time some of these students have ever caught a fish. What an experience!
Thank you, Vulcan Materials for all you do for our community!!
